This is my current build in the old modelling shop - a very small Airfix 1:72 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.1a
It’s a lovely little kit – great value, and the detail is pretty good for something so compact and affordable.
As with all my projects, I’m taking it gently, tackling small bits whenever I’m in the mood (for modelling that is, not romance).
I’ve chosen this one to sharpen my skills without too much of a commitment – if it goes pear-shaped (yet another blunder), never mind, on to the next.
I’m currently practising my seam hiding (hence the blue cement you can spot), and so far it looks promising. We’ll see once it’s primed – as few ever say.
